Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

J.K.Rowling never ceases to capture her reader’s attention. This book, much like her others was a gold mine for Potterheads such as yours truly.

Towards the end of her last book, she wrote an epilogue describing a scene from 19 years after the Battle of Hogwarts. It consisted of Harry and Ginny, Hermione and Ron and Draco sending their children off and helping them board the Hogwarts Express. Before boarding the train, Harry’s youngest son- Albus Severus Potter expressed his concern regarding the sorting of his house. His brother (James Sirius)  was in Gryffindor, but always taunted him by convincing Albus he would end up in Slytherin.

In Cursed Child, we discover that Albus has indeed been put in Slytherin and he had faced being bullied because of it. During this particularly excruciating part of growing up, Scorpius Malfoy (Draco’s son who was rumoured to be the cursed child i.e. Voldemort’s son and therefore bullied) and Albus end up finding each other. Over the course of few years, Albus grows more and more resentful towards his father. Neither of them understand each other and it often resulted in them blurting out obscenities they didn't even mean. Albus believed that Harry Potter was not as great as everyone thought he was and that so many people should not have died for him to survive. When he hears rumours of the Ministry of a Magic having acquired a time turner, he and Scorpius de-board the Hogwarts Express in pursuit of it so that he could save Cedric Diggory from being killed.

Who do they meet? Who is the Voldemort's illegitimate? Who is the cursed child? Do they succeed in saving Cedric? What were the repercussions? Do father and son reconcile? DOES VOLDEMORT RULE? Can two scrawny, misunderstood, angry teenagers find order from chaos or do they end up creating chaos from order?
