It's a Robert String adventure! Meet Robert and his best friend, Lisa. They are always on adventures. Well this was their first and it was very dangerous.
Robert and his family were going to the sea-side for a little break but, it was no break for Robert. He goes to some resort which he hates and especially hates the owner who's name was 'Miss Cake'! He coughed to avoid laughing and asking for a piece of cake. Miss Cake was not a piece of cake at all. She was a terrible old lady. She didn't drink tea but, instead has cocoa which she served to anyone who came near her cottage.
Robert soon gets very bored there and goes out for a stroll, avoiding Miss Cake's cottage. He come across a boy playing football and went over. If there was anything Robert was crazy about it was football. He goes and tries to have a conversation with the boy with no success. Finally he tries his last attempt and asks if he could join in. Finally the boy looked at Robert and it turned out that the 'he' was actually a 'she' . Robert was perplexed and he ended up enjoying himself playing with her. They introduced themselves and her name was Lisa.
Robert's mum and dad got along well with Lisa's mum. Lisa didn't have a dad as her parents were separated. Lisa and Robert were told to go to the boat museum down the lane. When they reached a boat they were both tempted to go over the rails and look inside, which they did. When they were about to get out of the boat they heard voices just outside. After sometime they started realizing that the people were planning to rob a bank nearby! Robert goes to the nearest port-hole and tries to get a glimpse of the thieves but he could only see a thumb that was blackish- bluish- yellow. The color your thumb goes when a hammer falls on it.
They immediately go to Robert's mum and tell her what happened. She doesn't believe them at all. They argue and finally come to a conclusion that Robert should report to the police. The police too don't believe a word of it.
