Katniss Everdeen, is a 16 year old girl from District-12, Panem. She is chosen as the representative along with a boy, Peeta Mellark for the Hunger Games. The Hunger Games is a competition between the 12 districts, to win food for their district but most importantly, for their family. The worst thing is, there is only one winner and this is no simple ordinary game, it is the game of survival skills which means they have to kill each other to win!!! Will Katniss survive this? You will be surprised in the end. It is a very good book if you want to understand how 16 year olds think.
