Mary Lennox, a young British girl who lived in India, was very unkind and grumpy. She had many servants, all of whom did as she said but did not like her one bit. One day, her parents died in a car-crash. She is sent to Britain where her uncle stays(she had never met him before) . After months there, she finds a secret garden which is really beautiful with lots and lots of plants. The only problem was it was half dead, but the secret garden makes her kind as she becomes fond of it and wants to improve the garden.In the process she makes friends who can help her in the gardening, then she realizes that she likes the garden and the garden likes her, she likes her friends and her friends like her! Thus, the unkind and grumpy girl becomes kind and happy
