I don't suppose many of you know what a mediator is. Well, a mediator is someone who talks to the ghost which are still "hanging around". They hang around in our world because they have some incomplete task which they think a mediator can help them achieve. Mediator is a series of six books of which I have read only five. All the stories are based in California. Suze (Susannah Simon) the main character and the mediator is always trying to help the ghosts move on, but don't think she talks to them. I mean, of course she does, but she loses her temper most of the time and the only way she gets the ghost to talk is by..... punching them in the face and kicking their butt!
I really need to appreciate the author's creative thinking and interesting way of portraying the characters of the story in this series. For example in a book called ' Mean Spirits', the stars (called the angels) of the RLS high school were killed in a car accident where they fell off a huge cliff. According to them a car came from the opposite direction and hit them. The person who was driving the car (which hit them), was know as Micheal Meducci. Suze tried her best to stop them from killing Micheal and she also tried to take out all the facts from him as causally as ever so that she can solve the dilemma between Micheal and the RLS Angels. Let me tell you a few brief things about Suze. She used to live in New York before she moved in to California. The reason she went to California was her father passing away when she was still a child. She and her mother were very sad and very upset so, her mother tried finding another father for Suze and finally found Andy Ackerman when Suze was sixteen. He lived in California with three sons who's names were David, Brad and Jake. Suze had put nicknames for them according to their personalities. Only she called them those names but, she didn't say it out loud. David, the youngest was 'Doc' because he was really brainy and knew every single thing in the world. Brad, the second youngest was Dopey because he was very dumb. Jake, the eldest was Sleepy because he always has that dazed look as if he had just been woken up from a very deep sleep. Oh! of course how could I forget?! JESSE a "gorgeous", (as Suze refers to his looks) a ghost of a hundred and fifty year old person! She thought he was cowboy because, he wore spurs but he was not a cowboy. An interesting fact about ghosts is, the ghost of a person always takes form of the person's age when he/she died and Jesse, was twenty.
